Dr. Jodi Schoenhaus Gold – Nominee of Women Volunteer Of the Year

The Shuzz Foundaion is so proud of our Board Member/Medical Coordinator Dr. Jodi Schoenhaus Gold for being recognized as Volunteer of the Year. She is a true inspiration and leader with a heart of gold. We love you and thank you for all that you do.

The Junior League of Boca Raton has announced its nominees for the 28th annual “Woman Volunteer of the Year.”

The luncheon celebrates local women in the community and recognizes nominees from nonprofits throughout Palm Beach County for their dedication and expertise as volunteers. Promoting voluntarism and furthering the potential of women are missions of Junior League of Boca Raton, and this event is the organization’s largest fundraiser of the year.

The winner will be announced Nov. 6 at Boca Raton Resort & Club, 501 E Camino Real. The event will begin with a reception, silent auction and raffle at 10:30 a.m. The luncheon, starting at 11:30 a.m., will kick-off with a runway show featuring New Zealand-born designer Rebecca Taylor’s Spring 2016 collection. Taylor will also be on hand at the event.

“Woman Volunteer of the Year” is co-chaired by Debbie Abrams and Elizabeth Kelley Grace, with Deb Tarrant serving as the honorary chairwoman. Committee members are Suzanne Bower, Jennifer Dardano, Natasha Dietz, Audrey Morris Goff, Joni Goldberg, Elizabeth Kleiner, Carolyn Kelley North, Lise Orr, Kari Oeltjen, Barb Sageman, Shawn Sherlock, Kirsten Stephenson and Kerri White.

The luncheon is presented by Boca Raton Regional Hospital Foundation. Other sponsors include Amy and Mike Kazma, Marta Batmasian, Schmidt Family Foundation, GL Homes, Gourmet Adventures, Lesser Lesser Landy & Smith, Saks Fifth Avenue Boca Raton and People’s Trust Insurance.

“We are delighted to announce the truly amazing group of women volunteers from our community,” said Kirsten Stanley, president of the Junior League of Boca Raton. “The Junior League of Boca Raton’s mission focuses on training volunteers, developing the potential of women and improving the South Florida community, and this event underscores our belief that volunteer service is an essential part of responsible citizenship.”

In addition to naming the Woman Volunteer of the Year winner, the event will also honor a Lifetime Achievement winner. Nominees include Peggy Henry, Florence Fuller Child Development Centers; and Pat Reed, Soroptimist International of Boca Raton/Deerfield Beach.

Tickets to the luncheon range from $95 to $250. VIP tickets, which include a private meet-and-greet with runway designer Taylor, cost $500.
