“All About Shuzz” Charity Fashion Show Makes A Splash!!!!
WHO/ WHAT: A very wise fashionista once said, “Always wear expensive shoes. People notice.” On March 11, 2011, a menagerie of fabulous shoes from Saks Fifth Avenue Boca Raton hit the runway and were noticed, at Mercedes Benz Delray Beach, for the “All About Shuzz” Charity Fashion Show.
This exciting charity event hosted by Shuzz Fund, featured a fashion show of Designer Cruise Collections from such world-renowned designers as Christian Louboutin, Prada, YSL, Manolo Blahnik. Guests enjoyed simply fabulous cocktails, scrumptious appetizers and lively entertainment all within a super chic and totally luxurious setting. Event guests were also provided the exclusive opportunity to purchase the designer shoes modeled on the catwalk, with portions of shoe proceeds to benefit Shuzz Fund.
“Shoe Loving” and ever fabulous event chairwomen were; Tiffany Woolley, Rita Johnson, Ellen Friedman, Katie Jaramillo. Special guests of the event included; Sam Madison – Miami Dolphin Cornerback , Patrick Surtain – Miami Dolphin Cornerback, Chris Wells – Florida Panthers Center Wing & Dr. Nicholas Perricone – World Renowned Dermatologist.
Michael Capponi, a well respected, community businessman and philanthropist, was awarded the Shuzz Philanthropist Glass Slipper Award. This prestigious honor is given by the SHUZZ Fund, to an individual that has set a standard of excellence in the world of giving back.
SHUZZ Fund also recognized a graduating senior who has demonstrated an outstanding level of community service activity throughout their high school career with the Glass Slipper Award. Hours of service to the school, through school organizations and school-sponsored activities, and/or hours of service given in the community through religious, fraternal, and civic organizations were considered in the determination of the recipient of the award. SHUZZ Fund is a South Florida based non-profit organization that exists to provide new shoes to children of poverty stricken areas around the world. SHUZZ distributes the shoes free of charge to children, regardless of race, religion, class, or any other criteria. These children are in need of a very basic tool to prevent them from risk so they can protect their feet and prevent disease. Every small donation will directly put a pair of shoes on a child.
