There has been a lot of buzz about the Neiman Marcus runway show featuring Haute Hippie for our V Annual SHUZZ | ART | FASHION Show this Thursday. Rightfully so! There has also been a lot of excitement around the live entertainment planned from Cirque Dreams. One aspect of the show that often goes unnoticed until the night of the event is the art portion of the event.
Street Artist and Wine Consultant Joe Iurato uses layers of hand cut paper and spray paint to create texture in his work. He calls his approach “a modern adaptation of an old-fashioned printing process.” Joe teamed up with friend and fellow Street Artist Logan Hicks to create a unique piece for our event. How lucky are we? These are two of the top 50 street artists in the entire world.
Their work is phenomenal and we can’t wait for you to see it in person. Logan will even be in attendance!
More about Joe Iurato:
Street artist using layers of hand cut paper and spray paint to create texture and form – a modern adaptation of an old-fashioned printing process. “My art is nothing more than the exploration and documentation of personal experiences. These are my stories and how I choose to tell them. The site-specific placements of the pieces often utilize the urban environment to complete the narratives.”
More about Logan Hicks:
Renowned artist Logan Hicks’ work explores the dynamics of the urban environment through photography, stencil paintings and street art. Using photographs taken during his international travels as a point of departure, he creates intricate multi-layered stencils and aerosol spray to build the image. He was one of the two artists personally selected by Banksy to represent the USA at 2008 Cans Festival in London.
Don’t miss the show – this Thursday, April 2nd at Mizner Amphitheater in Boca Raton, FL. Tickets are still available here: www.shuzz.tickleap.com/2015.
