The second day of the Shuzz Foundation’s Back-2-School Shoe distribution was on August 14, 2015 at the Farmworkers Coordinating Council in Belle Glade, Florida. The Shuzz Volunteer Team traveled with hundreds of new shoes to give children in the Belle Glade community.
The Farmworker Coordinating Council traces its beginnings to a grassroots effort led by volunteers to meet the needs of farmworkers who found themselves without work in the winter of 1977-1978 during a sudden freeze. From its humble beginnings in a borrowed warehouse, the Farmworker Coordinating Council has grown into a diverse social services agency that addresses the continuing barriers to basic needs faced by farm workers in Palm Beach County. The FWCC continues serving over 10,000 migrant farmworkers and their families in Palm Beach County.
Thank you to all the supporters of the 2015 Shuzz Back-2-School Program and all of the Shuzz Volunteers that came to give back to the community. We could not do any of this without YOU!
